Mustard Living Room
This beautifully crafted, French-inspired living room was designed for a client seeking a warm, rustic atmosphere. The focal point of the space is a large leather sofa adorned with an array of cosy cushions, complemented by an expansive bookcase to display their collection of ornaments, books, and board games.
The design pairs rich, real wood flooring with warm mustard tones on the walls, creating an inviting backdrop for the deep brown leather sofa. A variety of cushions in different hues and textures, along with a classic, worn rug, add layers of comfort and style.
At the heart of the room is a stunning fireplace, featuring a traditional tiled inlay. The mantel above offers the perfect spot for a potted plant and a selection of photo frames. I’ve presented two options for this area: either a timeless painting or a rustic bronze-framed mirror, both adding character to the space. A wooden coffee table with built-in drawers provides practical storage, accompanied by a smaller round side table that serves as a convenient spot for drinks.
To introduce a natural element, plants have been thoughtfully placed throughout, adding both texture and colour to the room.
Finishing touches include a large glass ceiling light, a stylish brass floor lamp ideal for reading, and coordinating brass switches and sockets that tie the entire look together with an elegant touch
